They develop custom report programs containing graphics and tables representing operational performance needed by supervisors and managers. Data from the Benchmate database can be displayed continually in real-time on a dashboard or produced on demand as needed.

PDA launch nears.

Overview

The Benchmate PDA allows a technician to capture maintenance information and equipment condition 'on the floor' as the work is completed. The Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) lists jobs downloaded from Benchmate. As maintenance is started, the equipment label (printed by Benchmate) is scanned and the PDA displays the open jobs (previously downloaded from Benchmate CMMS) for that equipment.

When a job is selected, the job description is displayed including a task parts list. Job details including name and time of each person who worked on the job, parts used, cause code, equipment condition, text or comments, and date/time closed are captured as the work is done. The PDA’s integral bar code scanner can be used to capture labor time & parts used on the job.

The PDA can also capture maintenance activities that do not have a Benchmate work order. Scanning the equipment label opens a form for capturing labor, parts used, comments and equipment condition. Scanning again closes the job.

When the maintenance data collected by the PDA is downloaded to Benchmate, it is posted to the Service Log and the associated jobs closed and PMs rescheduled. Provision is made for a supervisor to review and ‘sign-off’ each job.
